History of the BCS

For the last time ever, the BCS bowls have been announced. On January 6th, the #1 ranked Florida State Seminoles will face the #2 rated Auburn Tigers in the Vizio BCS National Championship game. Next year, a 4 team playoff organized by the College Football Playoff committee will decide the champion.

Throughout the last 15 years, the BCS has left us with many memories. The endless BCS debates will certainly be missed, but they will be replaced with “Who should be the 4th team in?”. Let’s hope the final BCS Championship Game ends with a bang.

In order to recap the history of the BCS, we designed a fun graphic. Along with the result of every BCS championship, we also showcased individual and team records. It’s been a great ride!
